Make Jello Shots
Jello shots are a lot of fun. It's real easy to make these little guys. First off you need to get what ever flavor of jello that you want. The best thing to do is get flavors that will color accordingly with what ever holiday or event that you are making these for. For example, if you make them for a Christmas party get cherry and lime flavor for the traditional green and red colors. Halloween you'd get orange and grape and so forth. Mix and match colors how ever you'd like. Now, the most important thing about the shooters is making the jello strong enough so that people know they just had a shot. Make the Jello as per instruction on the box. Now, choose the booze. Most common alcohol in shooters is Vodka. You can use tequila or rum or what ever type of alcohol shot you like. You wan tot add the alcohol to the jello liquid when it has cooled off, the heat from the fresh jello liquid will cause the alcohol content to evaporate. The amount of alcohol you add to this mixture is up to you. generally speaking, you want to add enough alcohol that would cover the amount of shots you are making if the shots were just the alcohol. When you determine how many shots you can make from one batch cut that in half and add that much alcohol to the mixture. One package of jello makes about 3 cups of jello. there are 8 oz. in one cup. So you would have 24 1 oz shots. Add 12 oz. of alcohol. When you mix that up pour the liquid into little paper shot cups. Paper cups work the best as the shot can be sucked out of the shot cup easily, plus clean up is a jiff. Put all the shots into the fridge and wait for them to solidify. Serve on a platter and enjoy. Remember... DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE AND DRINK RESPONSIBLY!!!
